      Raining Inside

I can hear the thunder inside of me
A sudden loud noise, thunder rolling
Then silence, followed by a faint
Tapping on the soil of my soul
It rains tears inside of me
The sound of the rain grows louder still
Drowning out the sound of my voice
Soaking me through to the deepest of my soul
The cold takes hold inside of me
Nowhere to hide to stop the shivering
      The rain dies silently
Only a tear in the corner of my eye
Is witness of what happened inside of me.
